i was diagnosed with melanoma in september 2006. had my surgery in october. i had my lymph nodes checked and thank God they came back neg. im a stage 1. i have three more removed in less then two weeks. one came back dysplastic nevus and waiting for one more biopsy to come back. my one that came back dysplastic nevus was cut out. the reason for this my dermatlolgist told me it could turn into melanoma.
when i was first diagnosed with melanoma i was upset. im married and have two daughters. my first reaction was what are my girls going to do without their mother and my poor husband how will he take it. but GOD took control. when i went back to my dermatologist to get my results he told me he was surprised it was not deeper in my skin. i know right then and there GOD had HIs hand on me. i prayed and asked GOD to comfort me and HE did HE gave me a scripture from the BIBLE to hold on too. HE also gave me the peace that i needed to overcome this and to strenght me. i would never make it without HIM.
