My 42 yr old husband has HCC and Kaiser here in L.A. just sentus home and wrote him off, gave 3-6 mos and try to live a quality life..butthis is 2006-2007..with all the leading and cutting edge treatments out there..we're fighting on..found a great dr..Dr Solomon Hamburg from CedarSinai Hospital here in L.A. - they tried Intra Arterial Chemo..for this reallyagressive tumor (10cm) to be under control now..there was no shrinkagebut no increase in size and it is staying put..not metz..Thank God!..He isnow on IV Gemzar and Chemo pills (Sutent)..Dr Hamburg is a warriorand a GodSend...he is fighting with Gil and for Gil..hopefully with anysign of shrinkage..they may consider resectioning or even transplantationFor all the loving caregivers out there like myself...my thoughts andprayers for strength in mind and body bec our love ones need us..for allour love ones suffering from this disease... blessings and healings to all !!
