CancerCompass message board discussion started by Kathys_711 on 3/14/2007 http://www.cancercompass.com/message-board/message/all,10346,0.htm Sun, 06 Jul 2008 00:00:00 GMT Sun, 06 Jul 2008 00:00:00 GMT http://backend.userland.com/rss RSS.NET: http://www.rssdotnet.com/ About 3 1/2 months ago I felt like I had something stuck in my throat.  I thought it was maybe a piece of hair.  I took a few sips of water and it didn't help. It slowly started to get worse.  It felt like food was getting stuck in my throat when I ate.  Right now its to the point where I can feel the food going down my throat like its scratching it.  I get scared that I might choke of my food.  A few times I thought I was going to choke.  I hardly eat anymore.  When I do, I eat a few bites unitl my throat really starts to bother me or I'll eat soft foods.  Kathys_711 Wed, 14 Mar 2007 00:00:00 GMT Well the obvious would be...get yourself to a doctor now. It could be several non-life threatening things. You are doing yourself no good by stressing out about it. Kilgh Sat, 17 Mar 2007 00:00:00 GMT See an ENT physician upfront for a complete exam and maybe a barium swallow.  You may also need a GI physician depending on results.  Could be any number of diagnosis but you have to start and get over the fear and denial.
