Lymph nodes swollen and white patches on cheek

Hi, I've also posted this on lymphoma message board because I'm starting to get a bit worried. I found a lump (feels like a swollen gland) above my collarbone a year and half ago. This lump moves up and down when I swallow and changes in size. I've had a very dry throat which can wake me at night. I also sometimes wake up and find I've been sweating but don't have a temperature/fever. I've not lost any weight. I have trouble swallowing food and feel that something is in my throat. I've noticed over the past few weeks small red spots keep appearing then disappearing in my mouth, there seems to be white/greyish patches on my bottom and top lip (inside), but the white seems to change in colour daily - sometimes white then sometimes greyish. I've noticed small pin size white spots for about a week now on my right cheek and have found small red type ulcers on my bottom lip (2 of them) and they hurt like an ulcer. The back of my throat has small white patches on it but I think this is possibly due to the dryness. I have a pea size hard bone type lump on my jaw - feels like a piece of bone and cannot be moved. I've been to my GP in January about the lump on my collarbone because it felt like it was pressing against my windpipe, and I also was very fatigued and itchy on my legs/arms/head and back. He thinks the lump is thyroid goitre and I went to see a specialist about this last week. He has taken a thyroid blood test, examined me and referred me for a scan and also to a ENT specialist, however the waiting list to see ENT is extremely lengthy and I suspect it will be a few months till I see them. I am not to return to the thyroid specialist until I have been seen by ENT, unless there is something that shows up on my bloods/scan. My question is, will ENT examine my mouth or should I go back to my GP in case I need to be referred to Oral specialist - or am I just be paranoid! Thanks for listening.

Just to let you all know, I've started to get sores/ulcers on my tongue and felt like my tongue was burning. Went to GP this morning and he has given me antibiotics to see if it is an infection (likely), however, could be related to problems with my neck. Will keep posted.

Hi All, finish my antibiotics today - no real change to mouth, with the exception of no ulcerations on tongue or lip. Still have white patches on lips, tongue still feels like it is burning and now looks a bit greyish in colour. Still got the small white minor salivary bits on my inner cheek and my throat is still swollen, red with white patches. Throat and roof of mouth, tongue still feels dry - especially at night when lying down. No sore throat though! Will keep posted.

Hi All. Mouth feels a lot better, throat still swollen though. I decided to go to the dentist and check things out because my tooth started hurting on Monday afternoon. He's checked my mouth and said everything seems ok, slight swelling to throat but looks ok. He has felt lump under my chin and said could be extra bone growth, could be from a fall when I was a child - doesn't think it is anything suspicious. He xray'd my top tooth - 3rd tooth from end of mouth - looks like a cyst to the side of the tooth, however, he has noticed a lump above the tooth next to it and is not sure what it is. He has decided to sent me to see Oral Specialist to check both lumps out - as routine appt so that tells me he doesn't think it is anything of an urgent nature... hooray! Between going for a scan this month, going to see ENT specialist (When?) and back to Thyroid specialist - and now Oral specialist, my hospital case notes will be huge!!!! By the way, I've got to have a root filling and crown which will skint me but better to get it done :-(. Thanks for listening.
