I had surgery to remove my tongue and have a flap constructed this past December. Sense that time I have tought myself how to seek and to be able to swallow again. I have amazed the Doctors as well as the Therapist involved with my case as I have done this by myself the area I'm have a problems in is food. Like I said I can swallow, can anyone give me some ideas about what to eat and how to prepare it soft/liquide only. Thank you for any help you can offer.Denver, from Massillon Ohio

From my radiation my thraot shrank ang I now have no saliva glands so eating for me is for survival not for pleasure any more. For me when food is cooked fresh it is easier to swallow but the next day if I try to nuke it it is too dry, you would think that grapes would be easy for me it's not shredded chicked hard to swallow, you are going to just try a little piece and see if for you if you can swallow it only you can determine it, I now use a liquid vitamin, regular vitamins are too big I choke on the. I also can not eat no spicy food boy do did I love spicy food. I hope I helped a little take care and good luck.David
