Active Hexose Correlated Compound is neither a drug nor a medicine. It is a food substance, ---- a dietary supplement processed from mushrooms. You dont say what you are using it for, but I am not aware of any proof that it has any impact on survival in cancer patients.

I have been using AHCC along with other supplements for almost three years now since my diagnosis. I refused all traditional treatments and am doing extremely well. I would suggest that since every individual is different they should be tested by an alternative practitioner so it can be ascertained what supplements are needed to bring their own immune systems back to optimum efficiency. The brand I have always used which was recommended by my Naturopath is IMMUNE BUILDER by JHs Natural Products and I am NOT affiliated with them in any way.

Hi again...I mentioned in my last post on this subject that my naturopath recommended the IMMUNE BUILDER AHCC. The medical doctor at the Integrative/Complementary Medical clinic that I go to highly recommends the IMMPOWER. Alternative practitioners have been recommending these products for many years. It is good to see some in the traditional medical community finally coming on board. Yes, they do seem a bit expensive but are available on line (I did a google search and found them at half regular retail price.)
