Vaginal Dyplasia

Hi, I'm new to this, but I feel I need help. For two years now I have been being treated for Vaginal Dysplasia possibly caused by HPV. I have had 5-FU treatment with no positive results and subsequently two laser surgeries. I stll have grade 2 VAIN. Previously (12 years ago) I had a hysterectomy and radiation (external) and vaginal implant for endometrial cancer. My last visit to the doctor yesterday left me very confused. He proposes either doing more laser surgery or excising the area. But, he won't commit to either and says it has to be my choice. He feels that excision is the best course of treatment but he is concerned that healing won't occur due to my history with radiation. He also said that the dysplasia might re-occur with either procedure. I am lost. I think I need a second opinion but have no idea how to go about finding someone who is an expert in this field. From what I have read it is not common and therefore new treatments don't seem to be forthcoming. I also asked what if I did nothing..no treatment and my doctor said that I probably would develop vaginal cancer at some point..maybe 5 to 10 years.Any help or suggestions would be so very much appreciated. Thanks.Anne
