Said it may be scar tissue but i am scared it is cancer. After laser surgery they told me the healing process was taking too long and recommended a hysterectomy. All my reproductive organs were removed and sent to the Pathologist. The pathology report showed it was cancer carcinoma in situ 2, with micro invasion. I was told that the hysterectomy got the cancer, but to ensure the 00.5% change that it could reoccur, they wanted me to have radiation therapy. I have this conversation on tape, since I had to go alone, and the doctor approved the tape recorder before we started talking. Anyway, I was sent to an oncologist for 6 weeks of radiation treatment and then in the hospital for 3 days with a radiation implant.They don’t really tell you that the radiation therapy really messes with your sexuality and causes the vagina to get shorter. I would not have done it had I known then, what I know now.Fourteen years later, I started having slight bleeding every now and then from the vagina after urination. When the doctor examined me he said it could be blood from scar tissue but he would not know until the results come back from the biopsies. My genocologist said there was scar tissue but did not feel a mass. I received "the call" and was told to see another oncologist for evaluation of treatment because the tests were positive. , I started having slight bleeding every now and then from the vagina after urination. The Oncologist sent me for a PET/CT scan, which showed no signs of a mass. The report was negative! The oncologist said they could feel a tumor about 3 cm in the vaginal wall. The oncologist recommends the removal of the bladder, vagina, and colon in order to obtain the cure. He said 50% of the patients that go in for this surgery have to be sewn back up because cancer has attached itself to other organs or the wall.
