Re: Low Dose Naltrexone

Has anyone out there heard of this medication? It is used for all different cancers & diseases. It generally comes in 50 mg tablets, so it has to be compounded to 1.5 mg to 4 mg per dose.My mom has intrahepatic bile duct cancer & surgery is not an option. Also she has completed chemo & radiation & she chose not to take any more chemo. We found this med. & her onocologist prescribed it for her.It sounds great - Just wondering if anyone has used it or heard of it. All the information I could get would be very helpful especially if you have used it. Please respond as soon as possible - Thank You Again the name of the med. is Low Dose Naltrexone.

RE: Re: Low Dose Naltrexone

Yes, it was intrahepatic. We managed to catch it just as it was exiting the back side of the "bifurcation" of the bile duct. The surgeon removed it all and a healthy bunch of the liver behind it to make sure he removed everything. My radiation should actually start next week to be followed by chemo. I haven't read much about non-surgical solutions for this cancer, but the LDN sounded promising. I'll be praying for your Mom. As you say He can do anything and heal anyone. Please let me know how it goes.
