Pleomorphic/Sarcomatoid

To anyone out there who might have a loved one suffering from a rare type of cancer called Sarcomatoid Carcinoma or Pleomorphic carcinoma, please know you are not alone. My mother was diagnosed just 3 weeks ago and we have found little information on it. In fact the best information we got was right on this web site. My mother is in stage 4 right now and we don't expect to have her long. It is frustrating to know so little about her disease, but also hopeful that maybe not many people will have to face losing their loved one so quickly from such a rare, fast moving, type of cancer . Our Oncologist said he hadn't seen this cancer but one other time and that was as an entern. I think this is the most difficult thing I have ever had to face and pray every day for the people and their loved ones that have to endure this disease.Sincerely,Colleen

RE: Pleomorphic/Sarcomatoid

My 37 year old son was diagnosed with Sarcomatoid Carcinoma 4 weeks ago. Ten days ago he had a subdural bleed from a brain tumor and he is now on life support fighting for his life. We are searching for somewhere in the Midwest that they can try to help him. Is there are medical centers that are working with this rare cancer? His is not renal. It is still source unknown.
