Undifferentiated tumour, can anyone explain this to me ?

Hello , I have been diagnosed so far with a mass in the superior aspect of my left hilum in my lung and also a 7cm mass in my liver, both seen on CT scans. Bronchoscopy to my lung, taking 3 biopsies and brushings and washings only revealed atypical cells. My FBC is normal. I then had a liver biopsy for which the result came back as undifferentiated cells and and therefore, undifferentiated tumour. I asked what type is the tumour and was just told, undifferentiated. I have since been told that the hospital does not have a firm diagnosis and also they are only surmising that the liver lesion is a metastases from whatever is in my lung. Has anyone else had any experience of an undifferentiated tumour and do you know if this is a definate malignancy ?.Many thanks, Sue . I
