I don't know where this will be posted. I have been very sick for 3 yrs now. In june 2004 they found a Choledolcolcyst that was in my common bile duct, I immediately went from a hospital in Green Bay to Milwaukee to have surgery, this was an extensive procedure they did a resection of the above name cyst with a Roux-en-Y with a hepaitcojejunostomy. I must tell you I never recovered from this I only became worse, the pain is unbarrable and relentless I right away lost 45 lbs and couldn't eat anything, I waited the appropriate time for healing and then some. I still had severe pain, went to see my surgeon and I thought I had a hernia after my surgery because I had a belly button pouch which I never had before and the extreme pain with weight loss etc. He just told me to go to a pain doctor what a joke. I then was in and out of ER Dept's & hospitals with so much inconsistancy's and misdiagnosises. When I picked up my chart's about a month ago I was shocked at what I read. I suggest to anyone if they are having touble with their care or doctors and not getting diagnosed pick up your records then read them if you cannot do this get someone you can trust help you or at least read them to you. I suffered for 1 1/2yrs with a hernia and had to go to a different healhcare system to get the surgery I needed, and they found a 12 in hernia this was at my surgical site from 2004 and caused many complications. I also thought my bile duct was not working properly as I still had the same pain only worse. Well, the surgery to fix the hernia was in 11/05 and then two mos later was in the hospital with high fevers & they found my bile duct blockage, now it's 3/06 put two T-Tubes in my liver and did the angioplasty's for about 5 mos then I had to go down to UW Madison for a revision of the jejumostomy, I also was told I might have to have a liver transplant. I also read that one of the radiologists opinion that my right hepatic duct was suspious for a papillary form of Cholangiocaricoma and this was in 04/2006 but no one told me or did anything about it, which leads me to the present day. I am still very sick it's been 3 yrs now, I had a CT Scan in 02/2005 show up a stricture and a enlargement of the pancreatic duct area of 5.4 mm which is large, with everything else that is going on I cannot believe they just ignored it and didn't even tell me. Get your records. Well, I am getting ready to go to Milwaukee again, as soon as I type and post this. I am having an ERCP done under General Anestheia and don't know what will be happening to me I know I will most likley have a serious bout of Pancreatitis which I suffered with all last winter because I was taking pain meds and didn't realize I was that sick. I might have that cancer they mentioned. I'm sure I will be having some kind of surgery as the weather is getting nice and I haven't been able to enjoy my summers for years now. If there is anyone out there that has had something like this happen or has any advice for me please post it, I have no support group at all because I am from CA. I also have Crohn's Disease & Celiac Disease and am waiting for the Cystic Fibrosis test to come back. Well, I need to get ready and pack my bags again. Please, Help me.
