      <title>Nexaver results after 8 weeks</title>
      <description>Nexavar results after 8 weeks, fighting HCC that is in the liver, stomach, and lungs.Wednesday was positive and at the same time disappointing!&amp;nbsp; 6 weeks ago after 2 weeks on Nexavar and 6 weeks since the scan that discovered the growths, the doctor said the cancer showed &amp;ldquo;significant shrinkage&amp;rdquo;, the scan results this week showed &amp;ldquo;no significant growth or shrinkage&amp;rdquo;.&amp;nbsp; This was the disappointing side of the results.&amp;nbsp; Has Nexavar run it&amp;rsquo;s course?&amp;nbsp; At best the breast will be kept at bay or will same of the cancer cells &amp;ldquo;adapt to Nexavar&amp;rdquo; and will start growing again.&amp;nbsp; My friend is not one the lucky, less then 1% that Nexavar kills everything detectible.&amp;nbsp; Of course since the drug is too new no one knows.&amp;nbsp; The phase three results will be out in just over a week, maybe we&amp;rsquo;ll all know more then.&amp;nbsp; My friend&amp;rsquo;s doctor will be at that conference and maybe during the next visit I will extract unpublished information.The positive side is the scan did show some of the cancer tumors had &amp;ldquo;dark&amp;rdquo; areas inside and others showed signs of hemorrhaging which make them look larger, as the fluid is expelled around the outside of the tumor.&amp;nbsp; Dark areas and hemorrhaging mean the tumors are being damaged.&amp;nbsp; Nexavar is a two sided attack drug.&amp;nbsp; Maybe this second scam shows the signs of the other attack method? &amp;nbsp;The story will continue in another 4 weeks, June 20th when the next scan is done.&amp;nbsp; That will be at 12 weeks the same time period that ended the phase two trials of Nexavar for treating HCC.&amp;nbsp; If you have not read about the trials do so.&amp;nbsp; The Nexavar HCC trials ended 2/12/07.&amp;nbsp; At your search engine type in Nexavar Liver 20 articles on phase 3 results after 12 weeks will appear.&amp;nbsp; Read only one as they are all the same!I hope that smaller or fewer cancer growths mean that the drug then can attack the remaining tumors in more strength.&amp;nbsp; My friend continues to be getting back to her old self. &amp;nbsp;I would love to hear from anyone who has been on Nexavar since the fall of 2006.&amp;nbsp; How are you doing?Sincerely, Ed</description>

      <title>RE: Nexaver results after 8 weeks</title>
      <description>At times I type too fast and learned to read by sight, thus the word
breast &amp;quot;looks&amp;quot; right.&amp;nbsp; I meant to spell beast.&amp;nbsp; No one said
any thing hope I didn&amp;#39;t affend anyone.Have another update.&amp;nbsp;
Amount of fluid drained weekly.&amp;nbsp; Pre-Nexavar about 6.5 liters were
drained weekly.&amp;nbsp; That&amp;#39;s .92 liters per day for you numbers
people.&amp;nbsp; On 5/22 the day before the 8 week scan,&amp;nbsp; 5.3 liters
were drained since the prior drain 6 days before.&amp;nbsp; Thats .88
liters a day, and yesterday after 7 days since prior drain 5.5 liters
were drained.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; That&amp;#39;s&amp;nbsp; .78 per day.&amp;nbsp; Do realize
that diet, and placement of the drain tube maybe factors involved
besides the cancer.&amp;nbsp; In how much is drained.&amp;nbsp; One thing is
that no longer at day 6 and 7 is the swelling and &amp;quot;heavy load&amp;quot; really
&amp;quot;painful&amp;quot;. &amp;nbsp; The color of the last four drains has been that like
a lite beer, and can see the label on the other side of the liter
bottle.&amp;nbsp; Per-Nexavar it was purple and about 6 weeks ago was a
ruby red grape fruit or cranberry color.&amp;nbsp; Anyone else noted color on volume changes?&amp;nbsp; Sincerely, Ed
