Colposcopy and Leep Procedure

Hello, I am 29 years old. I have had abnormal pap smears in 1996 and 1997. My doctor did the crosurgery. I have been having normal pap smears until April. My pap smear came back as LSIL with mild HPV deplasia. I just had the colposcopy done thursday, May 24th.I was so nervous about it. I did hurt alot. My doctor took a really big piece of tissue out because I could feel everything she was doing. Now that part that is wooring me so much is not knowing what the biopsy will show. My doctor said if it came bak with a CIN 2 or CIN 3 we would do the LEEP procedure. I do feel bad now knowing I do have an STD. I feel bad for my husband. I have three kids and now I am just worring about them too. Has anyone been through the same steps? Does the Leep hurt as bad as the colpscopy did? Has anyone had LSIL then it turned into cervical cancer ???

RE: Colposcopy and Leep Procedure

I had a colposcopy, biopsy and than a leep last week. I was very nervous so I asked to be put to sleep. It was twilight sleep but I don't remember a thing and I felt nothing after. I did not want to hear the machine or the burning and you have to be very still. which I know I would not be. I did not bleed much the first few days but I am bleeding now. 10 days later. They did not find any abnormal cells or precancerous cells which was weird after they told me they told me an asc-h was almost always something. Next time I would ask that they repeat the pap or have someone else read it also as I am glad they were being very careful and I really glad it came out good but when my insurance deductible and all I really can't do this again if it comes out the same 4 months from now. Good luck with yours!
