Husband was on 20 mg of Lipitor with Tarceva and saw no problems. I don't know if Crestor works the same as Lipitor or if it like combining Zetia and Lipitor.

Hi, I usually post on another forum, but couldn't help notice these postings. I am a pharmacist, and thought I would offer a suggestion. It may be best to drop the cholesterol meds while taking Tarceva. The risk of these drugs interfering with each other in the liver would be very taxing on the liver. The cholesterol meds could be resumed later on, once treatments are over, if necessary. Tarceva is much more critical to take than the Lipitor, Zocor, Crestor, or Zetia. Of course, ask the doctor about this first, but it's the question to be asked. Best wishes!
