Has anyone else ever had this problem. Sheilav11 Tue, 19 Jun 2007 00:00:00 GMT Yes, My dad was diagnosed with rectal cancer in Feb. 2006.  He was in hospital for 7 days and went home.  8-10 days later he developed a high fever and had a ct scan, it showed a absess at surgery site.  He went to hospital for 14 days on very strong antibiotics and came home with picc line so we could do antibiotics at home through iv.  He was so sick.  I really think it was a staph infection from surgery.  He finally got rid of it and so far no more infections.cynthia  cynthia1 Tue, 10 Jul 2007 00:00:00 GMT
