      <title>Pancreatic/Liver Cancer</title>
<description>About 2 years ago I had both of my kidneys removed due to kidney cancer. I am now on dialysis. I thought this was the end of it, however, it has spread to my pancreas and they found a small spot on my liver. I have just started chemo and am praying this will take care of it. I guess I'm looking for some more info on something like this. I don't know what to expect or to do. I have tried talking to some people but I'm not hearing what I need to hear. I think I'm looking for a miracle. Can anyone give me some info, please!!!</description>

      <title>Response to Your Question 10/2004</title>
      <description>Dear Marilyn,
My mom was recently diagnosed with pancreatic/liver cancer as well. In fact she hasn't even had her first visit with the oncologist. We have begun her on a daily dosage of Mangosteen juice which is a juice from China that has cancer block agents in it. Please go on line and research Mangosteen juice. It's an alternative to chemotherapy or you can drink it in conjunction with receiving chemotherapy. My mom hasn't decided if she's taking chemotherapy yet. My big question is about quality of life while receiving chemo. What are some expected side affects and what has been your experience with it?
Thanks,
Daphne K.

      <title>Mom With Cancer</title>
      <description>Dear Marilyn,
I am a 43yr old female who had liver/pancrease cancer. You ought to have her go soon .Like now . In my case I had the cancer removed. I did not do radiation or chemo They were able to take it out. They removed my Liver, Spline , galbladder,80% of the pancrease. I take insulin daily. But I had very helpful doctors here in Ohio at the James Cancer center. My 5 children still have their mom . I continue to go every 6 months for MRIs and CatScans.
Please feel free and write me
