A few worries

Hi, I am 15 years old. I am worried about getting/having cancer.I have what is called a halo nevus on my face. ( 2 actually) and one seems to be getting more noticable, as I am losing more pigmentation. The mole itself isn't changing though. (That I have observed)I have also got a mole on my scrotum. It is black in colour, and gets itchy at times, not too often though.I went to the doctor concerning the halo nevus on my face, and he looked up a book, confirming what I had found from a site, but instantly said I was silly for thinking it may have been cancer. I did not tell him about the mole on my scrotum, because it is embarrasing, and I don't really want him going down there, if you know what I mean. Can anyone give me advice, or suggestions. Or even better, try to tell me if it is cancer? Thank you for your time.

I did a google search and found that halo nevus is benign which means not cancerous, but about the mole on your scrotum, you should ABSOLUTELY get it checked out....... cancer is NOT something to mess around with........ if you're not comfortable with your doctor, have your parents find you a new one but be sure to have the mole looked at by a doctor.Good Luck,TomOn 6/27/2007 Fmeme wrote:Hi, I am 15 years old.
But the thing is, my doctor is ok, and was fine, but I havn't told my parents about it, and I don't really want to.I live a long way from my doctor, or any doctor, and I couldn't manage to get there without my parents knowing. Which I don't want.
