pale colored stool

My husband has Stage IV lung cancer with mets to lymph, bone & liver. Recently he has been feeling really tired and pain on his right side (about where liver is) - hard time getting fluids down him and has an upset stomach every single time he eats no matter what it is. Now his stools are pale and his skin has a tinge of yellow. I plan on calling the onc tomorrow because I think he needs to be in the hosp getting fluids and nourishment. But now with the yellow and pale stool, is there a test or something they do to see why that is happening. Sorry, don't know much about liver since I've been concentrating on learning about lung cancer.Any questions I should ask doc or tests I should mention to see what is going on with liver would be appreciated. Do want to let this go on.Thanks, Nancye

Look up Cytotron on the web- new technology from India, not expensive, sounds promising for all types of cancer & arthritis-which is what I amgoing to India to get treated for. Not yet approved by the FDA in the USA - go figure!.

Yes, you should definately get labs done as soon as you can. This is called jaundice and it means that the liver is not functioning as well as it should be. Hopefully it is not liver failure but instead just something that they can treat. I would recommend telling his doctors asap because otherwise it will progress and of course you can't live without the liver. Let me know what they say and if you're able to get any information...Aimee
