My 3 month PSA came in at .1   I have full control over my bladder, except that when the urge to go comes on I only have about 2 min. of holding time. With the aid of the little blue pill I had a rock hard erection last night. As a result of the HIFU all looks promising TODAY.The Germans also do a TURP prior to the HIFU. As a result of this procedure I developed "scar tissue" in the bladder neck. This resulted in urine retention. It got so bad I needed a cathater inserted. This was inserted three weeks ago and stayed in for 5 days. Bladder function quickly returned to normal. The local urologist instructed me to do a self cathaterazation procerdue( not nearly as bad a process as my mind led me to imagine) once a day for two weeks. I see him again this friday for an evaluation. Wish me well.The thread of information I received from this web site proved invaluable to me during the decision making phase of my dieaese. I thank all of you who expressed your expierence, knowledge, and positive thoughts. You made a difference. Do not get discouraged by some ney-sayers who seem, by their posts, bent on distruction. Keep the diverse and valuable information you posess flowing.
