Being put on Sutent

Hi all,Just wanted to "sing from the rooftop" and tell you that Tom just went to the GU oncologist and was told that his tumors haven't grown much, even without treatment. He is applying for help to start on Sutent because he doen't have Rx coverage. Hopefully he will be able to get started soon!!!! Dr. Fishman says that even though he had bad side effects with Nexavar that doesn't mean the same thing will happen with Sutent, so we're hoping that he doesn't have difficulty with the side effects. Thank You for all of your prayers,Cindy

RE: Being put on Sutent

My husband is a veteran with renal cell cancer. He is going to the local VA hospital for treatment and the VA is paying for the sutent. Although this is only his second month on sutent and he is not due for a scan until next month, he seems so much better. He has had very little side effects. We are so very thankful for all that the Lord has done and wish you all the best,#1 BearOn 7/17/2007 Cindy611 wrote:Hi all,Just wanted to "sing from the rooftop" and tell you that Tom just went to the GU oncologist and was told that his tumors haven't grown much, even without treatment.
