Diffuse Large B cell lymphoma

I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma in March and underwent six courses of R-CHOP. After the 3rd, my PET scan was clear and after the 6th (5 weeks ago) the CT scan showed no cancer either. The doctor did a Bone Marrow test a week ago because I'd had lymphoma in my marrow. I found out today that while there is much less cancer in my marrow than at the beginning, it is still "residually" there. The oncologist has had me begin 2 more R-CHOP treatments. I am frightened that this may mean the cancer won't be gone after the 8th treatment.Has anyone else had this experience and can give me words of wisdom?RuthJoy

even if it is refractory after 2 more doses you still have treatment options. Try not to worry until its time to do so.

it means the cancer remains, after an appropriate induction therapy. Put another way, the therapy that should have put the lymphoma into remission, did not.
