Pharyngeal Cancer

I was diagnosed with pharyngeal cancer 2 days ago. I believe it is in the hypopharynx. I had this same disease in 1984 and was treated with radiation and it melted the tumor and it went away. I now am again faced with the same thing though in a different spot. I cannot have radiation treatment again. My body won't be able to take it. I have difficulty swallowing. I am facing surgery of that I am certain. I live alone and need moral support. I am an 80 year old woman from the Netherlands. It is in stage 2. I am lonely and frightened. The wheels are in motion for the treatment but I have not as yet consulted with my potential surgeon who will be Dr. David W. Eisele at UCSF (San Francisco). My main worry is will I be able to regain the ability to swallow again after the surgery? I was told it will mean a resection. Thank you for any information you can furnish me.
Moral Support Coming

Dear Elizabeth,
You are truly a miracle! You had 20 years in remission. You are blessed.
I am so sorry that you have to go through this again. The good thing is that the treatments and medications have come so far in the last 20 years. You couldn't be in better hands than right now.
My boyfriend has been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, so he is just beginning his treatments as of 2 weeks ago.
Unfortunately, I don't have any information for you regarding your cancer.
I would just like to offer any support that you might need.
You sound like a strong and vital woman. Yes, it's scary, but there are many people out there who can help and support you.
Please let me know when you are going to San Francisco.
You are not alone!
I started a "Joke of the Day" for my boyfriend. If you are interested in laughing, I can forward them to you.

Good luck, and God bless you,
Pam

Hypopharynx

I had Hypopharynx Cancer, Stage 4. and after Radiation and Chemo cannot swallow. My friend advised me to late to start eating "FLAX SEED OIL OVER COTTAGE CHEESE" which will cure your cancer by stopping it's growth. Dr Johanna Budwigs book, "FLAX OIL AS A TRUE AID AGAINST ARTHRITIS,HEART INFARCTION,CANCER AND OTHER DISEASES" floored me. A tablespoon of Flax Oil over cottage cheese, morning noon and dinner and in two days she has saved many people whom were told to give up,life is over cancer has won. "Please" try this. She claims cancer could not even be found in their bodies by the Doctors who told them to give up. I'm liquefying mine in the blender to go down my feeding tube so I won't have to worry about it coming back. See if your Library has this Book, ISBN 0-9695272-1-7, or www.applepublishing.com,$6.95 US. It's worth the try before having surgery. Good Luck, Ray

p Cancer

Dear Elizabeth,
I am in remission from lymphoma for several years and I remember some of the time when I felt lonely and scared! I am so sorry that you have to go through this and I will continue to pray for you!
One of the best things that I would suggest is to get some assistance. At this point, you can probably still do most of your daily routine yourself; however, it would be wise, since you are alone, to contact your place of worship or a local women's group or oncology center to get some help---even if it's just someone else to talk to...
Please don't stay alone all of the time---The Lord gave us each other to help out, especially during times like these! Remember that each of us is a gift to one another!
God bless you and I wish you continued remission AFTER you get through this latest bout!
I would also DEFINITELY suggest speaking to someone from Cancer Treatment Centers of America because they gave me great information and encouragement throughout my treatment!
Most sincerely,
Kathy R :)

Natural Products

My heart goes out to you. Keep up the fight. My 80 year old mother was diagnosed with one kind of soft tissue sarcoma last year. Hers was called angiosarcoma. I never heard of that before so I started the search for info on it, to get to know the enemy to launch an effective all war against it. We were told angiosarcomas affect only about 3 persons in 1 million inhabitants in America. Doctors said chemotherapy will kill my mother because of her age and physical condition so radiation was planned instead. I resisted to believe I was loosing my mother and I took her to the best and expensive clinics in northern Mexico, since medicine in developing countries is so aggressive. The Mexican doctors advised us to start radiation immediately in USA. So she did. She had 5 tumors in her head, all the way down to her neck. I called 1-800-720-9101 and bought the book "Cancer doesn't scare me anymore" written by Lorraine Day, MD. In that book we learned the basic steps to get ride of cancer. I started to feed my mother alternative all-natural products to help her fight the cancer. I bought Sub-lingual Vitamin b-12 dots ($10 the bottle with 250 dots)at www.myhealthpro.com . I bought Advanced sublingual Vitamin B-12 ($19 for 250 pills) at www.wonderlabs.com . I bought liquid Vitamin B12 dropper ($8 for each bottle and each little bottle lasts about 1 month) at www.good4all.net . I bought Flor Essence liquid herbal tea ($18 each bottle) at www.betterlife.com. I bought her a multi-vitamin complex bottle of Centrum Silver vitamin complex at the nearest Walgreen's pharmacy store for $12.00 . She takes 1 advanced sub-lingual B-12 pill under her tongue after breakfast. She takes 1 Centrum vitamin complex pill after breakfast. She takes 1 sub-lingual B-12 dot under her tongue after lunch. She takes 1 full dropper of liquid B-12 between breakfast and lunch with a couple of crackers or mixed with any kind of juice like orange juice. She takes 2 ounces of Flor Essence liquid herbal tea mixed with 2 ounces of water once in the morning as she gets out of bed and once again at night right before going to bed (total of 2 times daily). And in the morning an hour after drinking the Flor Essence, and before breakfast, she drinks a home-made juice mix that includes the following: a handful of clean edible cactus called in Spanish "NOPALITOS" (which can be found in Mexican Food Stores, here in Phoenix I buy them at "Food City Supermarket") plus the inside of 1 arm of Aloe Vera (it can be eaten whole but is very bad-tasting, I bought hundreds of Aloe Vera plants at the nearest nursery warehouse and planted them in the back patio of the house so we have a good supply of it) plus two plain almonds and two peeled-off garlic cloves. All mixed in the mixer with 1 cup of any juice, like orange juice. No more McDonalds. No more French fries. Now she eats fresh raw vegetables (or slightly steamed ones), food low in fat and high in proteins. The vitamin B-12 keep her full of energy and able to move around easily and able to go places with the family. The other vitamins of the B complex (B-6, B-9 etc) that those sub-lingual pills and dropper also contain, boost her immune system and help her with nutrition' absortion. She doesn't needs a cane to help her walk any longer, which she used for half-a-decade. The Flor Essence cleanses her bloodstream of carcinogenic cells that might have metamorphosed to fool the immune system. Those cells surround themselves of a protein that fools the immune system so they can later "wake up" in some other part of the body, which is called Metastasis. One might think that only HIV-infected cells can hide like that. I thought so too. But after intense internet research in I found out that cancer cells can do that also. The doctors are shocked and amazed at how well my mother survived the ordeal. All 5 tumors are gone. No metastasis has happened so far and I pray God that never happens. My mother now is actually more active than before and she goes to church every Sunday. Sometimes I think it was a miracle. Doctors had predicted she would live 6 months maximum but she surpassed that and she is now full of life and joy. Skeptics say radiation did all the work. But some people that were going to radiation with her have died since. I saw with my own eyes how most of the other patients deteriorated quickly while my mother didn't. So, natural products might be the reason for her success. And in any case, there is nothing to loose with trying them. I wish you the best, and the best of luck in your fight against cancer. You are not alone. Even if you lived alone, God is always by your side. God bless you.

Dear Elizabeth, my prayers are with you. In your last e-mail response on 1/28 from Ramon P. is the best thing I have heard since reading many messages. I am totally into green food products and diet. Many people try to tell me otherwise but quality of life is more important. I have also seen video by Dr. Lorraine Day. It's amazing how she got through her situation. Can get on internet easy. I also see a well known acupunturist and that helps a lot and he gives me superb herbs for my situation. Since you are going to San Francisco there are some of the best acupuncturist anywhere plus many doctors of wellness that can help you support your immune system. I pray you get through this and know that faith is also a strong healer. You are not alone sister. luv E.O

Your Cancer

It sounds as if you need a good ent man (ear, nose & throat). They do something rather new that they call a simulation. It is 3 times better than an mri. It really pin points where the cancer is. You will need an excellent oncologist to do this and work out a good radiation program for you. My very best to you in this endeavor.
     Your,

Ablaze, You say you want to go a healthy route. Well without either surgery, radiation or chemotherapy there is no healthy route, just death which is a terrible - painful way to die. Get your brother the best treatments available and be supportive, after all how he is treated is his decision, not yours.

l was wondering how everything turned out for you. What did you think of Dr Eisele at UCSF. I know of someone with a salivary gland tumor that was considering him as a surgeon. Hope you are doing well.
