Essiac Tea

Hello,I'm interested in trying essaic tea for my mother who is undergoing chemotherapy for stage IV metastic colon cancer.I've read multitudes of articles regarding the tea and, needless to say, I'm a bit confused.I've seen 4 herb varieties, 8 herb varieties, liquid form, powder form, make your own form. I've read that you need to keep the herbs separate for them to be effective, I've read different recommendations for dosage, etc.I know there isn't a "standard" regimen to follow as everyone's physique and situation is different, but could anyone offer any information to clarify or consolidate the information?I know this website prohibits website recommendations, but I'd also like to know a reputable site that sells an effective form of the tea. Thank you for any help.

Assuming you're interested in independent info regarding possible concerns before you buy...I would suggest researching any alternative treatment at the American Cancer Society web page. It has plenty of info on Essiac tea. Good luck.

The American Cancer Society would not be my choice for researching an Alternative treatment. There is bound to be a bias there. There is a site on the origins of Essiac which is very informative. A Google search on The History of Essiac and Rene M. Caisse, Canada's Cancer Nurse should get it. I have been using the tea with good results and if you are interested in having the recipe for homemade please send me a private message.

Good luck. I agree wholeheartedly, everything is bias. I should clarify; my suggestion for starting with the ACS is merely systematic. The ACS is not anti-alternative (recent articles in mainline news substantiate an integrative approach which includes alternative treatments). A search engine from an established organization such as ACS provides independent source material for the consumer to find peer-reviewed info. Also, these organizations provide articles from University studies that are helpful to people that hope for a wide database in order to make an informed decision. Ultimately, alternative treatments establish their credibility by people like us who have a responsibility (our bias) passing it on.

RE: Essiac Tea

Hi There,Essaic's tea was the first thing my Mother started after lung cancer diagnosis. In less then a few weeks scans already revealed shrinkage of her tumors. She had a huge tumor in her lung and two growths on her adrenal glands. From what I understand about essaics is that when it attacks tumors there will initially be swelling before it breaks them down. Therefore in the case of brain cancers it may not be the best choice due to issues of swelling. After serious research she opted for only using essaics in the form of the herbs in which she made the tea fresh. Very easy to do. From what is understood the pills are the least effective. The concentrates are way over priced and they are said to lose much potency. She is using the 8 herb formula as shared by the doctor who worked with nurse cassie. Bill Henderson's book " Cure your Cancer- Your Guide to the Internet", and his website (do a search for his website), offers a great source to buy this tea in the form of premeasured herbs at an affordable price for all people. The staff is extremely caring at the recommended source. When first ordered and hearing of my Mother's dependency on medicare, and extremely limited finances, they gave her a whole month free with her first month of supply that was paid for. The recipe for this herbal tea can also be found online free. Do a search for Essaics tea recipe. Many in alternatie fields are raking it in on the very cheap herbs used to make this incredible tea. No need to go broke if you do your homework. I have used essaics for years as a preventative plan. Have also given it to my pets for healing. This new source found for my Mom has saved us a great deal in finances to be able to save for preventatives as well.Hope that helps. God Bless, Pamela

It has a wealth of information in it with links to suppliers, doctors, and a broad explaination of alternatives for cancer. You can also go to his website to get much of the information for free if you want to wade through his archives of past newsletters. He offers a download version of his book that also has active links that can take you right to the studies, or suppliers, as you read it. I have seen many share links in here so I hope this one to Bill Henderson's site will be allowed to stay. www.beating-cancer-gently.comHis book also reveals alternatives that can be used to prevent damages from mainstream protocols like chemo, radiation etc..IE: organ damages, hair loss, etal. I do not work for him and only found out about him after doing hardcore research into alternatives for cancer. While I have been into alternatives for years my Mother picked and chose which healthy changes she would make in her own life. Sadley some things she kept exposing herself to brought us to this cancer she faces today. IE: Still using the microwave, teflon in carpet, commercial dairy etc. I am not a doctor so I canot say if essaic's would help or not. Can only say it did help my Mom and I have used it for a long time myself. But Mom is not only on essaic's tea. Ironic that you mention the zeolite because she is adding that to her cancer protocol as soon as it comes in the mail as it was just ordered a few days ago. After serious research it was a definite worthy supplement to add if only to address heavy metal toxins and environmental stressors that when they accumulate in the filter organs like the kidneys, liver, etc, can only cause healing to be set back. Kind of like trying to operate an air conditioner with dirty filters. Makes it run harder and we risk burning out the motor due to over exertion. We also need higher absorption rates if we want all these supplements to show us what they can really do. My Mom is going to take this slow and build up because of the die off that can occur when detoxing. The essaics already did some major cleaning but not knowing how much more this will do it is best to insert protections. She is also going to add more probiotics and more enzymes to counter act any issues of flora in the intestinel tract as she adds the zeolite. It makes sense that it is always better to proceed slower then to go too fast. Years ago or son was detoxed from vaccine damages and the results were next to unbelievable. We did not use zeolite but it does appear to have many similar properties. I have used other healing clays for years for many health issues. I already understood the incredible healing properties of supplements that come from nutrient rich volcanic ash. So this supplement was not a hard sale for us. If we can continue to build up the immune system and give it the support needed to do as it can when operating effectively it will be hard not to see beneficial changes. Just know the essaics tea taste aweful! Think old shoe. But compared to serious sife affects of chemical drugs the taste has been worth it to my Mom. I guess I am used to it. From what I understand the zeolite has no taste and can be added to beverages. I was disheartened at the rediculous price and that we had to join a stupid MLM to buy it. Told them I would never sell it, but we need to save where we can. I promise if this does not reveal to demonstrate to do what they suggest I will oust this company. We have all been through enough and we do not need to lose more precious money that could go for healing choices that work better. While I lean more toward alternatives for healing I refuse to allow any alternative choice a free pass if a more affordable equally comparable choice is out that that all people can afford to use. This was the case I found out in Mannatechs aloe that was actually Carrington Labs aloe. Huge difference in price once the MLM company Mannatech got their hands on it. That is inexcusable when alternatives are not covered normally by insurance and it comes out of our pockets. If you try the zeolite too, please share your results. Hope that helps. God Bless, Pamela

Sorry I can't help you out as far as finding a reliable source on the internet. I make my own tea from the dry ingredients I purchase at a health food store. That way I feel more confident in it's quality and freshness. If you are interested in doing the same this link should be helpful.
