Radiation question

Hello; I was diagnosed with rectal cancer last week. The cancer is between the size of a nickle and a quarter. It is just inside the anus. I had radiation and the pellets inserted for prostate cancer about ten years ago. Now I'm arbitarily told that I cannot have anymore radiation treatments because of this prior treatment. I will be seeing the radioligst and the only board certified, sphincter saving surgeon in the area this afternoon.
I am interested in alternative treatments. Can radioactive pellets be inserted in the cancerous mass like a prostate or frozen like melonomas on your forehead? Thanks for your help.
