Cost of treatment

My mom has recently been diagnosed with unresectable cholangiocarcinoma. Since this cancer is relatively rare, there don't seem to be a lot of surgeons with much experience in this area at our local hospitals in Canada. So, we're looking for second opinions from doctors with more experience, namely the big cancer centres in the US. However, we have no idea how much this might cost. Does anybody have any ballpark figures for this sort of treatment? We could probably do chemo and conventional radiation back at home to save money. I'm thinking of cost of surgery or possibly novel treatments.
