Thank you for your response. I have a doctor's appointment at the Rockefellar Outpatient Pavilion. I am thinking I will fly into Laguardia. Also considering staying at one the places listed on the S/K website. The places listed are expensive but are close to S/K. I'm not sure how long I will have to stay in NY. They have told me I would have to live there as long as I was recieving treatment. So If they are willing to treat me I will have to look around for longer term lodging. I will just have to figure out how to get from Laguardia to where I am staying. Thanks.

Hi: I am from New York area, Laguida Airport is the closest, should only take you about 1/2 w/taxi with no traffic. I heard Sloan has a special lodging at the hospital for patients who are out of towners. I don't know how much it is but its worth a try to find out. It would be less of a hassle for you.Best of Luck to youBernadette

If You are Going to be in New York, You should Look into Dr. Avram Cooperman at Cabrini Medical Center or Dobbs Ferry Community Hospital. He Saved My Grandfather's Life Back in 1986 He is a Pioneer in Whipple Surgery and you can talk to him as if He were a regular Guy..
