I was just wondering if it was from the Sutent or maybe something else.   Edie Tanks Mon, 20 Aug 2007 00:00:00 GMT It's the Sutent (and also experienced it with Nexavar, lost about 70% of my hair), but it did come back, even while still on the medication.  Another common side effect for all of is white hair.Mary in Wisconsin Maryinwis Tue, 21 Aug 2007 00:00:00 GMT Hi my name is Robbie.  i was told I would not have hair loss on this drug.  Well at the end of my second cycle I was put on synthroid.  Apparently, sutent can damage your thyroid.  After the 10th or 11th day of the thyroid med.  I started shedding big time.  I lost about 50% of my hair that week and another 20% over the next two weeks.  My Dr. thinks it is from the thyroid restarting again.  You might want to have it checked out.  It has been most distressing!!!!!. I know this is a stupid question but what does your thyroid do? It is listed as a possible side effect of Sutent. I know they check my thyroid level about every other month. No one has said anything, but I suspect mine is slowing down because I gained 25 lbs in 4 months. I too am eating healthier than I ever did before. I also used to be very active and between Sutent and RCC I hardly do anything physical anymore ... other than shop for larger clothes!
