chemo,hiccups,pneumoniae

Help, anyone out there that has had hiccups, tried all of the cures listed on this site. Nothing works. Now he's in the hospital because he was accidentally overdosed with dilatid and other pain meds (prescription error) and now has pneumonia. I think the chemo is erbitux. Brief Hx: testicular cancer - 24 yrs later, colorectal ca, 2006-more rectal ca, bone, and lung. No longer curable, but treatable. PET scan shows no new growth. So the questions are: Any GOOD cures for hiccups? Any idea with a person so immuno-compromised how long we can expect the pneumonia to keep him down? Thanks so much!

I had just been researching hiccups myself. It seems that they are common in advanced cancers, for unknown reasons. There are medications that are very often given to cancer patients for relief from hiccups, with haldol being one of them. Ask the doctor.
