CancerCompass message board discussion started by livlvlph on 8/22/2007 http://www.cancercompass.com/message-board/message/all,15542,0.htm Wed, 08 Oct 2008 00:00:00 GMT Wed, 08 Oct 2008 00:00:00 GMT http://backend.userland.com/rss RSS.NET: http://www.rssdotnet.com/ I was diagnosed with rectal melanoma last year while I was pregnant.  No it was not hemroids like many doctors insisted.  Happy that I had a great family doctor that referred me.  After 2 local excisions, a healthy baby, and 25 rounds of radiation, I am coming up to my first year aniversary in remission.  My advise to anyone out there with this, see more than one specialist for advice on treatment options.  I know that there isn't much out there and that the outcome is not great but try to be as informed as possible.  Best of luck and look forward to everyday.   livlvlph Wed, 22 Aug 2007 00:00:00 GMT Ditto on your advise, everyone should follow!  Hope you continue to do well.
