CancerCompass message board discussion started by Jane n f on 8/26/2007 http://www.cancercompass.com/message-board/message/all,15624,0.htm Thu, 24 Jul 2008 00:00:00 GMT Thu, 24 Jul 2008 00:00:00 GMT http://backend.userland.com/rss RSS.NET: http://www.rssdotnet.com/ Hi, all. My husband is 7 wks out of treatment for throat cancer--stage IV with only one node.  His weight is good, throat is healed, PEG tube is out, taste is coming back.  His CAT scans showed that the throat area is fine and the tumor is gone, but the chest scan shows a suspicious node near his stomach/liver.  The dr doesn't seem concerned, but we are.  Does a single suspicious node indicate a metastasis?  He's due for a PET scan in 5 wks.  Will that tell us more?  Has anyone had a similar experience?At this point, my husband's mental state is, ironically, at its worst.  He is fraught with worry--can't sleep, very moody and anxious.  He's on Xanax, but takes a small dose at night.  I feel like he should increase, or maybe try something else.  Any suggestions?Thanks,Jane  Jane n f Sun, 26 Aug 2007 00:00:00 GMT
