Airline discounts for caregivers.

My wife was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in March. She is handling it very well. Our current oncologist is not very aggressive. Just went to CTCA in Zion, Illinois this past week. Going to start treatments there next week. Seems like a really aggressive place. Have to travel by plane for treatments. Are there any discounts or groups that help out with cost for airline travel for the caregiver?Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Check out the following website: corpangelnetwork.org. They provide transportation free of charge on corporate jets but their are guidelines, etc. I am not familiar firsthand with this service but have heard good things about it from others on various cancer boards. Good luck, maybe they can work for you!!Debby

The medical rate is not available during blackout dates. THE RADISSON HOTEL www.radisson.comLower rates apply to stays of 14 nights or more. Rates are subject to availability. WESTIN HOTEL GUESTROOM PROGRAM No cost accommodations A cooperative effort of the American Cancer Society (ACS), and the Westin Hotel-, The program provides accommodations, based on availability, to cancer patients receiving outpatient treatment. The Westin Hotel donates the room and waives the tax. However, occupants are responsible for anyother charges incurred during their stay. A $75.00 deposit will be secured from the guest upon check-in to the hotel to cover any of these charges. It will be refunded if unused. Do not call the hotel directly. All applications must first be screened by ACS. Applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis. Hope this helps
