He underwent 6 months of ABVD chemo and went into remission. It is now 7 months since then and we recently found out hes no longer in remission. Our oncologist told us today that the only options we have left are : 1- two to four treatments of a stronger chemo 2- stem cell transplant 3- bonemarrow transplant Thats it. Is this true? Are those the ONLY options? Will EVERY other doc we go to say the same thing? Im sorry for all the questions..im just so lost and overwhelmed.Thanks for your time and i wish you all the very best. I just read it though. I would hope that by now your fiance has made a decision about what to do. It is hard to tell you what to expect without knowing a little more about your fiance's history. I would imagine that if he had a round with ABVD before, that his cancer was extensive in the first place. If you want to contact me I would be more than happy to talk to you about this and any other questions you may have. I myself had a relapse with Hodgkin's too and that was 6 years ago. there is hope. If you get anything out of this, remeber even on the worst days, do your best to handle this has happily as you can with a positive outlook. That is hard to do I know, but no one survives with a negative outlook. Hope to talk to you soon. I had cobalt radiation plus a very extensive nutritional supplement program. I have been free since then. I can only share ideas with you but it may help. I wish you the best of luck.
