I am in a similar situation and considering Protocel also.Where did you get Protocel? Was it Protocel23 or Protocel50?What is the dosage? When you say 'by the book', are you referring to the information provided with your Protocel order or something else? Thanks,Cathy

Cathy, when you recieve the bottle of protocel you get with ita eye dropper & small bottle to mix it with the protocel.which is 1/4th protocel / 2 oz. distilled water (regular water will dilute the protocel). Take it 4 times a dayly, faithfully every 6 hours. You must stick with this program so its continuously in your body. No vitiam C, you can mix the protocel with fruit juice or ice tea but no vit. c. (If you can't stand the taste with water. ) You do get use to the taste. And the odd hours of having to take the protocel. Message back with any questions at any time my Dads name is RAF

RE: Protocel

My father has stage IV NSCLC (Poorly differentiated adnocarcinoma.
He has gone thru a few diff. chemos - Taxol, Taxotere, Gemzar, and finally Allimta.
He had been doing pretty good for a few months at a time, playing baseball and still active.
After the last few rounds of Alimta however, he had a lot of fluid collect in his lungs and he had to have VAT surgery - since then he never quite got back to what his state was before.
Today his doctor told him the cancer is spreading, so they are stopping the Alimta and now switching to Tarceva.

I had bought him some Protocel, but because of the amount of different treatments he had and all the different medicines he already had to take he forgot or just didn't want to deal with another thing he has to do.
Now he's worried about it interracting with the Tarceva and I wish I could find out if anyone else has tried these two things together - or if anyone else at all has had any success with it whether used w/ traditional methods or alone.
I don't want to be pushy, and I know the doctors ar Kaiser don't look too fondly on any alternative therapies so he would probably just say no.... but if I knew someone else was having success he might have hope.

I am glad to see from the initial post, that someone is having success!
Anyone else out there?

Good luck to everyone.
