I will be starting my treatments in a month or two and seen the web site of topicalchemo.com a few weeks ago and went back to it today and the web says it has expired. Does anyone know if that still exists with a different link? Thanks,

I have also tried to find the site and it looks like it's gone. Too bad, as I just started day 15 of my treatment and would have loved to have had his site to refer to. I am having a very strong reaction and feel scarde as to what this 3rd week holds. Thanks for documenting your progress. It looks like we are just about at the same stage of this process. It's nice to know that someone else is going through this at the same time as myself! Good luck and I'll be checking your site for updates.

Sorry, it's me again. I wanted to contribute some 'coping mechanisms' that have both been prescribed as well as things I have just done on my own to help with the itching and burning. My Dr. prescriped a steriod cream called Pandel, which does seem to help significantly with the itching (this has been a huge problem for me). They also prescribed a new gel called Bionecht. One of the many purposes of this is to aid in the protection and healing of the chemically induced breakdown of the skin. This seems to help calm the skin somewhat and helps it to not feel so dry without feeling greasy, like it would from Vaseline or Aquaphor. It is new, however, and my insurance didn't cover it. The pharmacist didn't even have any info on it yet! A friend of mine also bought me a big eye cooling pack (gel type). You put it in the fridge until it's cold or put it in the freezer for 20 minutes. It feels like HEAVEN when you put it on. It covers a large area and the pressure and cooling is wonderful. I have also used ice packs which help TREMENDOUSLY. Last night I slept with a fan blowing on my face, which was amazing! Other than being a little chilly, it cools the face and distracts the nerves enough on a consistent basis that you can make it through the night without feeling much of anything. As mentioned above, I also have found Aquaphor by Eucerin to help tremendously. The only bad part of that is that it is heavily greasy and it gets warm and tends to melt and get messy. I have also been taking 1/2 a Loratab when it gets really uncomfortable. Advil does nothing but upset my stomach. Hope these ideas help anyone that is suffering out there!
