      <title>prognosis of metastatic liver cancer</title>
      <description>My sister had breast cancer 4 yrs ago and again, a new breast ca, 1 yr ago.&amp;nbsp; She recently had a PET scan of which the finding state:&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Hypermetabolic mediastinal adenopathy presenting in upper anterio9r mediastinum extending inferiorly in rt. pretracheal space to subcarina.&amp;nbsp; Largest aggregate approx. 47 mm in anterior mediastinum, SUV 11.2 reflects metabolically aggressive tumor.&amp;nbsp; There is also PET tumor margination of rt. pleura with large rt. pleural effusion.&amp;nbsp; Hypermetabolic rt. retrocrural node in lower rt. hemithoras.&amp;nbsp; Additionally, there are several hypermetabolic tissue deposits in the rt. anterior chest, most conspicuous approx. 19 mm immeriately anterior to mid sternum.&amp;nbsp; Hypermetabolic 26 mm rt. hepatic subcapsular metastasis.&amp;nbsp; Physiologic bowel activity, sonewhat prominent in rt. colon.&amp;nbsp; Hypermetabolic lt. anterior iliac bone metastasis.Can anyone tell me what this all means.&amp;nbsp; I do understand that it in the liver.&amp;nbsp; Does anyone know how fast cancer usually advances in the liver. I appreciate any info I can get.&amp;nbsp;</description>

      <description>Most of this has to do with the chest- I don&amp;#39;t see any menntion of the liver- sounds like some bone activity in the hip also. You really should have your MD interpret this for you- can you do that?There is no specific time in which cancer spreads to the liver, if it does- breat cancer generally spreads to the lungs, bones and brain.Is she having any treatment?Take care friend&amp;nbsp;</description>
