Carboplatin desensitization

Has anyone gone thru the Carboplatin desentization process?? If so, what was it like? I am looking into it as it seems that a platinum agent is needed if you want to hope for a remission.

I too am to have it and would like some info if anyone had had it. I was told it would be 2 to 3 days in hospital and small doses given to get you over the reaction to it.
