      <title>gist/gleevec/nutrition</title>
      <description>My dad is fighting his second round of gist, he just had surgery and was in the hosp for about a month now that his home he has lost 30 pounds and because tumor was 14cm and sitting on his esophagous they took 90%.&amp;nbsp; He has a gallbladder drain, his wound vac and another drain.&amp;nbsp; He can&amp;#39;t eat and the nausea is outrageous. He is giving up and it just kills me to see him this way.&amp;nbsp; The gleevec was restarted and Coumadin was added due to a blood clot in the hospital.&amp;nbsp; He is so depressed and ready to give up.&amp;nbsp; I will take any suggestions or help in regard to taking meds, how, when and with what.&amp;nbsp; I don&amp;#39;t know if his swallowing problems are pressure from the remaining tumor portion.&amp;nbsp; He was initially diagnosed in 2004 and took Gleevec up until last Sept.&amp;nbsp; CT showed no tumor so it was stopped. in six months tumor was there.&amp;nbsp; I need advice and support.&amp;nbsp; </description>
