my mother has been cured from bile duct/liver cancer

In March of 2007 my mother was diagnosed with bile duct cancer that spread to her liver. When she was diagnosed the doctors all said that the masses were on both lobes and offered no hope. They said she had 6 months to live. After prayer my parents found Dr. Jerome Canady of PA who in two surgeries cut out 75% of her liver and she now is cancer free. My parents started a website www.curedoflivercancer.com to tell people about my mother's recovery. We know how hard this is and want to offer hope.

RE: my mother has been cured from bile duct/liver cancer

My mother had surgery today and I was told that the cancer is too advanced to do anything. The surgeon previously told me there was a possibility of removing the areas affected, bypassing or placing a stent for bile drainage to her intestine, etc... He wasn't sure until he was physically in to see what was going on. Long story short, there are several areas in the right lobe affected, the entire left lobe is basically gone, and there is a large mass around one of the bile ducts. The doctor told me that she has 6-12mths.

I visited the site about your mother and it was truly moving. To see that kind of hope brought to someone from whom all others had taken it away is breathtaking. Thanks so much to you and your parents for sharing their story and for spreading the word about the work that God is doing through Dr. Canaday.

RE: my mother has been cured from bile duct/liver cancer

This is Great for your Mother, I am glad God has chosen someone to cure of this dreadfull illness,,, I do Have one question was you Mother's Cancer (cholangiocarcinoma) - BILE DUCT CANCER... There is a huge difference between that and Liver Cancer,,, I have contacted the Doctors office For Dr. Canady but they really would not give me too much info but wants me to have my Mothers Doctor Fax everything to them and before I do that I need FACTS.... I Just cannot beleive that this Dr. Canady has never been Mentioned before now... My Mother was diagnosed back in January 2007 And she was ok for a couple of months and then she started going down hill every Month and then every week and NOW it seems she is getting worse by the day and Now the Doctors tell her the Chemo is no longer working and the Tumor is growing again and Larger... My Mother can barely walk now, she cannot catch her breath for the most part and they found a rather large blood clot in her lung about a month ago. She crys alot and we do what we can as a family but it seems we are loosing her slowly day by day,, She is only 58 and very determined but it seems her body will not let her move forward to getting any better.. I called that Dr. Canady but no answers to my questions so I guess you can understand my wondering just what kind of Cancer your Mother had,, IT WOULD REALLY HELP TO KNOW... Thank you and God Bless.

RE: my mother has been cured from bile duct/liver cancer

road ahead, but at least we have a roaI just saw this message and felt compelled to add my own story. My husband was diagnosed with pancreas cancer in late May. He was told by two major university hospitals that he was inoperable because the tumor was wrapped around a major vein. We, too, found Dr. Canady, almost in our backyard, here in Western PA. This amazing surgeon performed major surgery for my husband about a month ago. There were some complications but the tumor was completely removed, all margins were clear, and all lymph nodes were negative. At the time of surgery, he probably had only weeks to live. As far as we can tell at this point, he is cancer free. My husband is still recovering from surgery and will have chemo and radiation as follow up for insurance against a recurrence. During my two weeks at my husband's side in the hospital, I learned much about how this wonderful man offers hope to those who have been turned away from other surgeons and other facilities. He is usually the last resort. He did not promise anything other than a chance for a cure. We have a hard road ahead, but now we at least have a road.

RE: my mother has been cured from bile duct/liver cancer

These are all wonderful stories and make me so happy and proud to hear. My boyfriend was dx in October/06 at 29 years old. He was turned away by one hospital and told that he was inoperable and to go home and enjoy the rest of his time with his family. We found Dr. Nicholas Nissen who performed a 16 hour surgery removing over 70% of the liver. He is now 11 months cancer free. I hear Dr. Canady is a wonderful doctor and seems to be touched by GOD but there are other doctors out there also performing the impossible. Thanks for sharing your stories of hope. They keep us alive and fighting. Don't just pray for a miracle, expect one. Christina
