help!

My husband went in to the doctor for a side ache and they found a tumor (carcenoid) on his liver about the size of a tangerine. They found many other small ones on both lobes and in the small intestine and spleen. Please forgive me as I am new to all of this, I dont know what to expect or what to think right now. He underwent a chemoembolization on the 14th of September. My husband is still unable to take a deep breath, cough, sneeze or anything else for that matter as it causes him great pain. His sleepin is basically null and void, he sleeps about 2 to 3 hours a day, he is very week most days, and it is starting to wear on him mentally. Can anyone give me some advice about this tretament ?? Prognosis, anyone had this procedure? I am wondering how long it takes until some relief is felt?? I have so many questions, there are some I am afraid to ask. They do have him on pain medication but was told by the doc to begin weaning himself off of the meds - but they dont seem to help the pain in his side. any advice ?????
