CancerCompass message board discussion started by lindabeth on 9/28/2007 http://www.cancercompass.com/message-board/message/all,16620,0.htm Wed, 08 Oct 2008 00:00:00 GMT Wed, 08 Oct 2008 00:00:00 GMT http://backend.userland.com/rss RSS.NET: http://www.rssdotnet.com/ My Mom had the whipple operation in 1996 and has been doing well ever since.  She was readmitted to the hospital just twice for what they thought was scar tissue gripping the intestines and after being off food for a couple days it got better.  This time is different...after 11 years she is feeling the same side effects as after the operation, tightening in her upper abdomen, pressure in her back and her neck, the inability to burp.  Has anyone else had the whipple many years ago and do you have similiar discomforts.  She is starting to get depressed and has been pretty uncomfortable for the past 2 months.  Thanks in advance for your comments and support.    lindabeth Fri, 28 Sep 2007 00:00:00 GMT
