Little to few notes of Dr. Mathius Rath, Ralph Moss and many alternative healers like Dr. Clark and Dr.Donsbach. Few to No notes of orthomolecular medicine. Few people know that mainstream doctors have little- to- zero training in alternative healing. Their medical text books are created by the drug companies "for" the drug companies. They are mandated by law to only offer choices that will benefit drug companies.Therefore going to a mainstream cancer doctor and hoping they will offer a safer, natural choice, is just not going to happen. Nor are they going to offer natural choices that we can buy ourselves without a prescription and without padding their pockets.  In that instance even alternative doctors are a disgrace when they add 500% mark ups to very affordable supplements and try to make patients think they have some "special" form of a common supplement. What seems to astonish me more is the inate fear people will have when looking into any "natural" healing choice that rarely offers any side affects and if they do have side effects they are absolutely nothing compared to the side effects of radiation, chemo or the seriousness of sacraficing entire body parts for the elusive treatment of cancer. But these are the same people who do not flinch when talking about "which" toxic chemo choice caused less serious damages to internal organs, hair loss, greatly diminished body mass and bed ridden results of mainstream cancer protocols. I am sorry but for me when we are comparing which posion will harm us less I do not see how either is a choice. Posion is posion is posion. If we add posion to herbal tea that tea is no longer safe to drink. I liken this to the oxymoron of the EPA warning oregnant women not to eat too much tuna due to mercury content but then the FDA thinks nothing of saying pregnant women can get flu vaccines still loaded with mercury and aluminum which will pass through the blood brain barrier of the infant they are carrying. Somewhere along the line people have removed fears of dangerous chemicals that repeatedly show they kill us and erroneously replaced them with fears of natural choices. Do the math...not one supplement holds a shred of the record in deaths caused compared to drugs.  Cancer rates have not improved with all this so-called "great" science. When the studies reveal that if they gave 100 very healthy people chemo that 25 of those "healthy" people would die from this chemo alone how have we managed to convince ourselves that a body ravaged by cancer via an already greatly weakened immune system would ever fair better when given chemo that would kill 25 out of 100 "healthy" people? They have also revealed many people can live at least 4 times and up to 20 times longer if they do nothing and just let cancer run its course. Of course the end is still death so that's not a any choice either.If we want to live we can't not do a thing.  I guess it all depends on what we call quality of life? If a protocol used to treat cancer only keeps us in a barely existing state of miserable conditions for several years, what was the quality of life worth in those end years? I lost several family members years ago to cancer already. I did not know back then what I know now about natural alternative healing choices and it breaks my heart to know they had to live a miserable existence for several years, with no quality of life in the end, while we all felt as if we suffered greatly with them feeling completely helpless, and tortured seeing the diminished, malnourished, concentration camp victim state they eventually died in. We need truth in medicine, in both sides, today more then ever. As it is alternatives are not allowed by law to make any medical claims for supplements or treatments unless they get FDA approval to even run trials and those trials cost into the millions per supplement. It's quite the oxy-moron to say to suppliers they can sell them all they want but they cannot even tell people what they are for isn't it? How is the FDA protecting the people when they refuse to allow supplement providers to even tell people what they are for? Doesn't that set more people up for harm when they resort to just experimenting on themselves with no guidance? The sad reality is that mainstream medicine has reached the all time shameful status of the number one killer of Americans over all diseases. Over all cancers, heart diseases etc.. This is due to thousands who die from drug reactions when taking them "as directed." Thousands more who do not take them as directed. More who die from unessasary surgeries, and being operated on the wrong body part. Infections gained while in the hospital that they did not have going in. The list continues to grow of the extreme failures of mainstream medicine and the drug companies continue to spend billions in Tv advertising to the tune that most just ignore the very serious and life threatening side affects they will then reveal at the end of the commercial in a much lowered voice in hopes the people will just ignore them. In the battle of cancer they have had their turn to show us for decades what billions of dollars have not done for healing it. Meanwhile natural choices in healing continue to come under unjust fire and the mainstream medical industries now have the FDA as their henchmen to shut down and target natural healers to the tune they are leaving America and going where they can heal without restrictions with alternatives that have been used for decades to heal but were denied to be used in the US.The bottom line for me is that any healing choice needs to not have any links to causing what I am trying to heal. That is exactly what cancer protocols continue to reveal from biopsies that seed the cancer to necessitate the dire need to immediately start chemo, raditaion or cut it out because they know it spread the cancer they just cut into. To chemo that causes cancer as does radiation. Even mammograms have been linked to causing cancer because they emit radiation 1000 times straonger then basic xrays. Of course that is used to find cancer right? >sigh< The chemicals in commercial sunscreens have also been linked to causing skin cancers. On the other end natural sun exposures to our skin have been revealed to prevent many kinds of cancers due to natural substances like Vitamin D that our body will only make in higher levels when natural sunlight exposures is given to us in moderation each day. No matter what we use to heal with we need to know all information. The good the bad and the ugly. The supplement market has been greatly infiltrated by giant drug companies who ahve done the same to supplements that commercial farms did to our food supply. They cut corners for a higher profit. Substituted all natural vitamins that heal with synthetic ones that cause damage. The same is true for new clinical trials. These drug companies should never be allowed to just test their "own" products, then cherry pick which trials they liked best and gain approval from the FDA. The clinical trials that the public was denied from seeing in Vioxx that revealed heart attacks and strokes they already knew as a "side effect" was need to know ifnormation. But they were allowed to hide those studies until so many died they could not longer deny it. If we want to see real healing we ahve to take charge of our health and self educate. question and question some more. In my almost decade of studying alternatives I have found they do indeed have a safe alternative choice in healing for every toxic choice offered by mainstream. But it is not a highly profitabnle business and the people will not be told how to "prevent" illness and no chronically ill patients for a system designed around selling sickness will mean no more business of selling sickness for a profit. We are the only ones who can change that. Not the doctors, not the drug companies and not even the press. If we do not buy it, use it, or sacrafice our bodies to it, they will be forced to conform to give us what really heals. I pray everyone in here seeks true healing choices and not treatments that only go after the symptoms of disease while leaving the root cause in tact, and most importantly while not setting their body up for more damages due to the side affects of those treatments. We may, or may not, be able to get people to take charge of their health and make the lifestyle changes needed to save their lives. Far too many want the so-called proverbial quick fix for serious health afflictions that took years to manifest. They will be the victims of our future and as each one opts for a choice that renders no more hope for healing then it did 40 years ago I pray they will wake up before they sacrafice their lives and become another statistic that could have been prevented. There are alternatives that can save them in spite of opting for chemo, radiation and surgery. It all depends on how long they want to take to heal and how many more risks they are willing to take when their body is already beaten down with serious illness. When I asked my husband's oncologist about IV vit C therepy she said it could damage his one kidney. Wouldn't he be monitored. Like the chemo does not damage anything. He pasted on August 4th, 2007.  Wilmabc Wed, 03 Oct 2007 00:00:00 GMT I appreciate your posting.  You are exactly right.  Doctors do not consider alternative therapies because the research funding comes from the pharmacuetical companies.  That is why there is very little research on alternative therapies - no one recommends them for one and then there is no government funding.  It is so frustrating to me that as a patient you have to get out there and find the information on your on becasue all the doctors are going to recommend is usually chemo and radiation - which are both cancer causing agents themselves.   If you are a cancer patient - please research and be open to natural and alternative therapies. I've been researching for 10 years now and it's so comforting to see posts like this. Hopefully, with so many becoming educated via the internet, some changes will take place in the near future. I pray for that.I lost my first husband to lymphoma after he was "chemoed" to death. He was only 46 years old. I wish I knew then what I know now because he'd still be alive and playing with his grandchildren.  I remarried and my husband developed throat cancer. He went thru surgery, chemo & rad twice. He's still alive but can't speak and has to use a feeding tube to take nutrition. He lives on Ensure Plus and cannot even swallow his own saliva. The worst is that his neck is so necrotic his carotid arteries are like pretzels and he faints, gets blind spells and more. So you see? He survived the cancer (so far) but the drugs have ruined his quality of life and his remaining years have been miserable. Again, I wish I had been more educated about alternative medicine because he'd still have a life. Another story...not related to cancer but relevant. I had a serious drug reaction that caused a brain stem stroke. I was near death for over 5 years. Seizures daily, drooling, stuttering, jerking, wetting the bed, failing kidneys, heart arrhythmias, deafness and double vision. Doctors would have nothing to do with me due to the nature of my "acquired" disorders. They refused to diagnose me and only prescribed more drugs to combat side effects of other drugs...and I was only getting worse. Not until I found a wonderful holistic doctor, who weaned me off drugs and put me on supplements, did I begin to heal. Of course prayer had to do with most of it. I became involved with a group of advocates against pharmaceutical drug companies and we uncovered so much corruption it's unbelievable. We found that many of the head honchos with the FDA "held hands" with the drug companies, and together they did whatever it took to increase profits...at the expense of people's lives. We found hidden clinical trials that had never reported because too many people died. Money changed hands and they did "favors" for one another to get drugs approved. Doctors are still so intimidated by the pharma/FDA/AMA that they will go to any extent to avoid "getting involved." Most would rather see a patient die than to admit any patient was injured by a drug. If they DO admit it...then they stand to lose their practice...and their license. I am in the process of writing a book called, "Brutal Medicine," which will probably take years to finish because so much new info continually comes up...especially now with cancer treatments. The conclusion is that this is nothing more than murder for the sake of profit. You are right about clinical trials. The drug companies are "allowed" to kill a certain number of patients each year in these "experiments."
