My husband has PC and one of the side effects seems to be that its making him more forgetful - noticably so. Its ok at home in as much as I simply (!) do all his remembering for him but its starting to affect his work. My husband is 59 so its not dementia or anything like that.  Has anyone else had this problem? Im also wondering if there are any memory exercise programs out there? thanksLynne LynneP Thu, 04 Oct 2007 00:00:00 GMT I'm not aware that prostate cancer itself impacts memory but it's likely that he is undergoing therapy that has a side effect. Is he on ADT (hormone therapy)? If so then it's not unusual to have memory loss and possibly even some confusion, especially with things like math or other somewhat complex processes. There are other potential side effects of this therapy. You can do a simple search online and find a lot of information about it. There is not a lot that you can do about it until he goes off that therapy. It seems to be helpful since we have had so much waiting and worrying to do. It keeps his mind busy and I really believe it has helped him memory wise. Yes, over these past few weeks he has been very forgetful and looses things. I do see some improvement. I think it keeps his mind busy. Victor22 Fri, 19 Oct 2007 00:00:00 GMT I am surving PC as well and am also finding that I am much more frgetfull now and my wife points it out quite frequently. I think in my case it just distraction that causes this. For me, there are recoveries that are just not happing for me and it does consume me at times therefore, I am just not paying attention to the details. the upside is that I AM a survivor.
