Charlie, My Mom also last February was diagnosed with OC Stage 3c she was on Gemzar and a few other chemos alomst died numerous times. Some peopel can take it other cannot. My Mom has also had a few reoccurnces currently recieving pinpoint radiation on 3 small tumors on the liver and one on lymphnode. If you go through with chemo you should be preped for the side affects. I understand that Cranberry Juuice works well dealing with the side affects and also has a therapeutic value. I hope to have my Mom on al alternative program soon once we can get her esophaghus fixed and she can wat again. I am very ngative on chemotherapy and believe it does mre harm than good. Your might want to check out garynull.com there is an RN there Luanne that is top notched treating Cancer. She treat in NJ, LI, NY and PA. Good luck!Tom

Did 6 rounds of Carbo & taxol relapsed 1 year after finishing with that. Iwas on Gemzar for 10 months and it kept the disease stable (no growth, no shrinkage). Then started to progress and now I am on Hycamtin. for me the Gemzar was a piece of cake. Some side effects, but really not too bad. Mostly fatigue. Gemzar bought me almost a year and now the Hycamtin is working the same way, so hang in there!!!!! I also have lymph node involvement. Numerous in the abdomen, pelvis, diaphram, and neck. I have to say that most days I really feel good. Except for the fatigue.Good luck to you,Diane T

Absolutely! Ask your doc about adding avastin. This seems to be successful and adding it to chemo makes it even more effective. Several people I know with first recurrences are doing the cisplatin/gemzar/avastin treatment. I hope you do well.
