Hello friends. As many of you know I have a father who has stage 4 cancer of the stomach (diagnosed Dec. 4, 2006) and is now rapidly deteriorating. Today I just read an article that after many decades of saying that the appendix was a useless organ, it is now considered important to the normal flora of the gut. I just wanted to see if there is a correlation with appendectomy (removal of the appendix) to future cases with gastric cancer. Mind you my family has no history of cancer (my grandmother lived to be 102!) and now my poor daddy is 58 and it would be a miracle if he lived to see his 59th in January. He had an appendectomy at a young age in a foreign country. So my questions are:1) Do you or someone you know who has gastric cancer ever had their appendix removed? (It would be great if you could give ages, for example a person had their appendix removed at 19 and developed cancer (or detected it at 57). Also, if it was removed, was it outside the United States?2) Also, there seems to be a correlation between Blood Type A and gastric cancer. If you can provide a blood type that would be great as well. I kindly thank all that respond and pray to GOD that He may ease anyone's pain and suffering.

Healing is God's desire

Friend, May God touch your dad. I also wanted to encourage you that Men may give up, doctors may give up BUT God never gives up on anyone. We read in the bible (John 11) of a man called Lazarus, dead four days and according to the sister "stinking" BUT Jesus never gave up on Him. Join me in prayer that, this same God will touch every cancer patient, heal them or grant them sufficient grace to make it through. Let us pray for all the doctors and nurses taking care of these dear ones. Let us pray for family members that God will comfort them and grant them peace. Here is a list, if you can pray for one of these dear ones or all of them we will be very grateful - Prayer for Cancer Patients List from the site below. God mightily bless you, Chester http://www.prayer-for-cancer.com
