PET Scan

I had breast cancer 7 years ago and had a mastectomy and chemotherapy. Recently I had a PET Scan which showed a lymph node to need to be biopsied. I will have this biopsy next Monday. What could cause this lymph node to show up on the PET other than cancer?

RE: PET Scan

The PET scan is pretty specific and detailed it shows anything from cysts (My mom has one on her liver) to heat spots (like increased uptake from the tracer). The density and uptake are probably the most defined methods for determining cancer or non cancer.
