lung cancer diagnosis

I'm not sure I am even in the right place. My husband is having terrible shoulder pain, xray showed a hole in his right lung. MRI done and referral to pulmonologist, but he can not see him for a month. He has also ordered a cat scan at that time. This just doesnt seem like a reasonable amount of time to get him in. Am I wrong? We know he is suspicious of lung cancer.

RE: lung cancer diagnosis

why do you suspect cancer? Lung cancer would not usually be described as a "hole" on x-ray. He shouldnt have to be in pain for that long. I would call the pulm and explain his situation and see what they can do. Does he have anything he can take for the pain?
