RE: Cancer Trials

I was unable to officially be in the clinical trials for Sorafenib because I also had a bladder tumor of a different cancer. I have however been able to be on Sorafenib (Nexavar) for the past month according to clinical trilal guidelines just not participating in the study. I have felt fine on the drug. I did brak out in a rash at about 9 days but it did not itch, ooze, etc. My main problem has been with my feet. I have had some irritation, but it seems controllable if I take time to put my feet up during the day and wear comfortable shoes. Let me know if you wold like more information. I keep learning more as I go.On 10/10/2007 Twin1 wrote:Anybody out there participating or participated in trials. I have been in the MDX 060 ... 5 weeks out I have full disease progression.Looking into the RAD001 and Sorafenib. Does anybody know anything about this trial. Also looking into 1030 Trial and FTI R115777 ... any information would be greatly appreciated.

My husband will be starting the clinical trials with MDX-060 on Monday. Any information that you could pass along would be helpful. He has recurrent Hodkins lyphoma, X3 after failed stem cell. We have not been able to keep him in remission for longer than 6 months.

All I can tell you is that I too went in and out of remission 3x. I just finished mdx060 in september 07. I was stable the whole time in. but 4 weeks out I have a progression and am looking for an alternative treatment. I do know of someone who is in full remission however after doing the trial. God Bless and Good Luck
