Since then I had 3 sessions of chemo and 25 of radiation. My surgery is set for 11/8/07 and expect to have 2 more sessions of chemo after.   What restrictions should I expect after the tumor is removed from my left thigh?  Will I have full use of my leg? danogi Mon, 15 Oct 2007 00:00:00 GMT My husband had a 15cm high grade myxoid tumor removed from back of knee and thigh in Jan. 07.  He started walking after surgery with crutches and progressed to cane quickly.  Had the cane for quite a while but then began walking in neighborhood slowly.  Then progressed to walking track in our neighborhood.  Now He walks everday 2.5 miles. His leg look ok but there is a huge scar but who cares.  he can not run yet as he says it feels weird.  I don't think he should worry about that and just walk.  (He use to run 3 days or more a week)hope everything works out.
