any hope?

Has anyone had any success with this type of cancer not coming back? Ive had surgery, lymph nodes removed, and now 1 1/2 yrs later I have "pre-cancer" cells in the general area and need to do for laser surgery. So, what do others think....is this just going to be an on going thing, or are there "happy endings" out there. Thank you.

Thank you.sorry...type of cancer was "vulvar" I sure wish someone would answer this...Mine started with HPV, the cervical and uterine cancer. I had a hysterectomy in 1997...was NED for 11 YEARS...now its back in my vulva and vagina. had a wide local excision last month and will start Aldara or 5FU after next doc's visit. I tend to think that once a person gets cancer...it never ever goes away completely...that it could always be back...JMHO I am now even being tested for Esophageal Cancer.....I find out next week about that.Lori in California
